PERACID 15E is a stabilized solution of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide compliant with article 95 of Regulation (UE) n. 528/2012. A dossier for the authorization as a biocide for PT2, PT3, PT4 PT5 and PT11 has been presented in agreement with Regulation (UE) n. 528/2012.PERACID 15E it completely decomposes into water, oxygen and acetic acid. Its oxidizing action is effective against both organic and inorganic matter. PERACID 15E has a wide action range, it is particularly effective in penetrating and mechanically disgregating biofilm deposits (mechanical action). Its action mechanism minimizes all resistance phenomena.

Application fields PERACID 15E is applied for water treatment and in distributing systems in food & beverage applications. It contains nor chlorine and hypochlorites and it does not interfere with proper functioning of water treatment plants. PERACID 15E is compliant with article 95 of the Regulation (UE) n. 528/2012 (Biocidal Product Regulation)and for it an authorization dossier has been presented forPT2, PT3, PT4, PT5 and PT11 in compliance withRegulation (UE) n. 528/2012.

Treatment of water and surfaces PERACID 15E: how to use?

FOOD & BEVERAGE
PERACID 15E is used in the aseptically packaging to protect food and drinking along the supply chain. It canbe applied with different technologies: spraying, dipping, vaporization. Dipping and spraying are used for paper board packaging, vaporization is mainly used for PET packaging. PERACID 15E i salso applied in CIP(Clean-In Place) of appliances, distributors and tanks.

ZOOTECHNY
PERACID 15E is employed to guarantee hygienic conditions in breeding to hinder proliferation of bacterial and viral infections. Dry and wet mechanical cleaning is a preliminary and essential phase for any disinfection process. Mechanical cleaning removes dirt (e.g. terrain, excrements, food, exudates).PERACID 15E can be dosed in animal drinking water systems to help maintain them clean.PERACID 15E is used in CIP in different appliances (transportation, milking robots, appliances).

WATER TREATMENT
PERACID 15 E is applied in water treatment for industrial cooling systems such as: cooling towers, evaporative condensers, adiabatic systems, air refrigerating units. Once dosed in water PERACID 15Edecomposes spontaneously and rapidly in oxygen, water and acetic acid. Fpor this reason PERACID 15E isthe best alternative to halogenated compounds such as hypochlorites and hypobromites. PERACID 15E is dosed in shock in a point of high turbulence of water flow (back circuit of recirculating pumps) to guarantee and adequate mixing. Dosage depends from working conditions and contamination levels: 15-20 ppm (aspeacetic acid) for very soiled installation, 5-10 ppm (as peracetic acid) for low soiled installations. The shockfrequency is weekly.

Control	PERACID 15E concentration can be easily monitored using the specific KIT ACIDO PERACETICO: simply dip the reactive paper in water to have an instantaneous check of the treatment level.

Compatibility	Consider the following compatibility (referred to the pure product):  Compatible materials: AISI 304 stainless steel, AISI 316 stainless steel, rigid polyvinylchloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE) polypropylene (PP) polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)ethylene-propylene rubber (EPDM).  Incompatible materials: copper, carbon steel, cast iron, soft PVC, siliconic rubber. If in doubt, test the product on a small portion of the surface not in sight.
